Good to hear, glad you got the issue resolved.


As a followup, because inquiring minds like mine always like to know the 'why' - suggest that when the pickup was replaced, the distributor was reinstalled in the dreaded 'one tooth off' position.


It's important to mark the distributor position relative to the manifold, and also the rotor position relative to the distributor base before removing the distributor itself. The distributor needs to be re-installed so these marks line up exactly as before - close enough usually ain't gonna be good enough, leading into these exercises and frustrations.


Ahhh, I see your from Milwaukee - used to travel there quite a bit for business. Loved the honkin' huge gyros at the Grand Avenue Mall food court, the cheap $2 bus rides from downtown to Miller Park and cheap bleacher seat tickets, and the various festivals at Maier Park - well, exceptin' for that weekend of PrideFest...

 

That must have been awhile ago. . . Grand Avenue Mall has gone the way of many Malls, turned into a ghost town. I live really close to Gyros Corner Best Gyros in Town! Also rather close to Miller Park, I've been there for more tail gating activities then seeing actual games!

I must be getting old, I used to be part of the scenery at many of those festivals (mostly Summerfest) the attitude of the crowds just ain't what it used to be, people have become rude and disconnected- got their faces buried in a phone while "The World's Largest Musical Festival" is happening all around them. . .
