Engine won't start
I have a 1994 F150 5.8L XLT 4X4 very strong running doesn't burn oil at all with of course dual tanks.
Was going out to appointment had truck running the wife got in shut the passenger door engine just died and won't restart. I tested with a new dual tank console switch, have spark and fuel.
Had replaced 5 months earlier the coil pack new distributor and wires and spark plugs. I doubled checked again today the rotor cap wires just fine and spark is there checked from the coil pack to sparkplug. Fuel pumps humming as it should when turning ignition on even shot starting fluid in the intake trying to start and nothing. THAT'S THE KICKER. Both tanks are full and no vapor lock, even checked the inertia switch since it happened just when the wife shut the passenger door. Any other avenue I should look at?
It does have a older Ultra remote starter system which does function correctly even now without the engine actually starting up and running just tries to cycle the cranks, all it was installed for is to start. No alarms or keyless entry and no hood safety pin switch it had started with hood up also a while ago.

Well I don't think you read it either to well or just skimmed the problem. I checked the spark from coil pack which is a new 40k volt coil setup all the way to spark plug even the rotor rotates when cranked this is also new as I said previously. Fuel evidently was substituted with starting fluid spray directly into the throttle body plus I installed a dual air high performance intake system a few months earlier. My timing is 6mo old gear to gear forget the chain. My motor is tight compression wise or I at least would burn oil n smoke thus my rings are doing its job. My issue is I have all this but still won't start. It was running up to the point when my wife go into the passenger seat and no she's not fat to say the least.
As Steve noted...you seem to have spark and fuel...air is obviously there. NOT starting on ether (starting fluid) is just...weird, but indicative of a bigger issue. Is it just coincidence that the engine died when your wife shut the door? If so...no reason to chase that rabbit. If NOT, then...all sorts of things now raise their ugly heads.
My guess is, unless you are extremely lucky, you simply won't be able to diagnose this yourself beyond what you've done...time for a repair shop to have a look. You could get a cheap code reader and see if it is throwing some major fault to go investigate, I suppose.

I'm just happy it happened at home. Towed it out but they can't do anything till Wednesday. So I was hoping to get some ideas beforehand n fix the problem. Steve was on the same page as myself just weird how it happened. I checked all the fuses and wires which were fine to my visual inspection but when I was checking before for an OSB port I couldn't find any. Well I just hope that any suggestions might be the right one down the line. Thanks
Opps lol OBD PORT NOT OSB. Okay looked it up found out the location going to automotive parts store n borrow one Monday. Hopefully this will troubleshoot the problem beforehand or at least give me more insight. Thanks again you two.

Trying to find previous owner regarding this owned it for 2 yrs never failed and never found a kill switch but who knows that would be a kick in the butt lol.
Several years ago I'd bought a used car that had no indication it had an aftermarket alarm...no key fobs, nothing from the dealer I bought it from...until one day it locked me out. Now this car was old enough to NOT have power locks yet...it did! To say I was dumbfounded would be an understatement. Anyway, long story short after getting it unlocked using a coat hanger I took the door panel off and saw there was indeed an actuator installed, so I followed the wires through the door and up under the dash and found the alarm box and...disconnected it all.
