I am just wondering your switching ur 4.9 to a 351. what else do you have to change? do you have to change the computer and put a bigger fuel pump in, some different wires? cause that would be an awesome project.

my friend junked a working 351winsor and tranny that smoked the tires in a truck i think it was a 69-71. I was so pissed i would of just took the engine and tranny or the whole truck. and gave him over what he junked it for. but he didn't tell me beforehand.

your joking with that.. Thats how we put a chevy motor in an old pontiac. The blocks are diffrent and I chained it down, drove it to the shop and welded the links on the chain solid. We ran the mess outta that car with no problems.

I have sen peopel use chain for steps to get into their truck, and for mic stands, but never a motor mount, lol

dont really know what else will have to be changed because i havent got that far yet. As for the computer i dont plan to use one just a old carb, im intending on using the stock fuel pumps and a pressure regulator. As for the chain it down idea has to be one of the dummest things i heard today. Sorry may have worked for you but i have no intensions of jury riging anything.

i agree the only way i would chain an engine down is if it was the last possible option ever, and just planning on running it into the ground really quickly

i do like the chainlink steering wheels though
