engine swap

Can I pull a 4.6 out of 96 F150 4x4 and put a 5.4 out of 97 e-van in without changing harness, ecm, etc? Thanks

96s still had the 4.9L I6, 5.0 V8, and 5.8 V8 as the only factory engine options as far as I know/remember, both motors you mentioned seem to be '97 and up. Suggest better responses from that sub-forum 1997 - 2003 Ford F150 - Ford F150 Forum - Community of Ford Truck Fans
