Engine swap
94 f150 96 motor and trans having overdrive issues but can't scan due to lost vin numbers for motor. Can I just grab a another computer and vin numbers and go that way or what else to do

OP is 4 months old...
Seems to me 94 f150 truck with a 96 motor and trans. Goes to scan code(s) and scanner whats vin number and he doesn't know what it is for the motor? If thats what you were asking anyhow.
