This pulley is taking off the rubber on my belt I can literally wipe it off or scrape it off.. Any ideas?

Bearings are probably shot?? Take the belt off and feel of its loose or if it even spins freely.

just replace it, if there is rubber getting rubbed off onto the pulley its bad lol.

the pulley in the picture lol. it sounds like the issue to me if its scraping rubber off your belt.

Yeah I'm gonna replace it tomorrow. Just gotta figure out what pulley it is or take it off and just take it in.. I was thinking that too that it was going bad causing it to go slow or sometimes lock up and take rubber off the hot belt

yea thats what im thinking, the bearing is going bad and adding more resistance. enough that the belt cant turn the pulley and starts to slip. if you want you can try throwing some WD40 on the pulley and see if it stops.

Replaced the idler pulley and the tensioner pulley and she's purrin like a kitten!
