Default Engine problems. Need help!!

I took my truck through some water and mud the other day and when I got in the middle of a 2ft puddle my truck just stopped. It's an auto so it's not like I let it stall out. So I turned the key and it cranked right back over but kinda hesitated. I took it through some more mud and I got into it and it stalled out again! So I tried to turn it over again and it barely cranked! And as soon as I dropped it in drive it stalled. Did this like three times. Then I left it in park and revved it to about 3500rpms. And it did fine the rest of the night but still hesitated starting. I took the airfilter of the next day and it was kinda wet. What do y'all think it was?? Anything will help.
