And it probably does in your area, WPP does contract with many private label as well as "name" brands, and like I said before that includes ExxonMobile (not every bottle but they do blend and bottle for them). The bottles in my garage have nothing about WPP on them and had the same type of date code (same format and color) as the Mobil 1 4t I used for my R1. This was what led me to first research where WM gets there products from. There are only a few companies and plants in the US that bottle the oil that we use. I also worked for a chemical bottler, Scotts MiracleGro, we packaged all of their brand name products (miraclegro, homedefense, round-up, etc...) as well as the store brand equivalents (k-gro is the only name I can remember, it's been a while, which was K-marts brand), different shaped bottle, different label, same product, and of course we used the same coding machine. Most companies that aren't solely in one line of business contract out their production. Most store brands are produced by one of the name brand manufacturers.

Yep, I worked for Shearer's potato chips and we made walmarts chips, along with some of frito lays, seven eleven, meijer, giant eagle, brookshire, etc. Anybody know who makes Autozone's oil off hand? That's usually what I use. Change it every 3,000 with a Purolator filter. Not had a problem yet.

You should push it out to 5,000. Oils are much better nowadays (Not to mention, 3,000 mile changes are obsolete).

You're flushing your money down the toilet changing it out that early.

Just trying to help you save a buck or two.

Honestly I haven't "changed my oil" in about 15,000 miles, but that's because my oil pan gasket leaks so it always has fresh oil in it, I just slap a new filter on from time to time. And honestly I think I do it just for something to do most of the time. I could probably push it out to 5,000 especially since I flush out all of the old with new oil before I even fill it.

Now that I think about it, I do waste a lot of money on oil changes.

Haha, that's kinda how my old eldorado was. If it wasn't dripping I needed to add some!

I tell people she's just marking her territory lol

It's the oil pan gasket, but it's a huge pain on these trucks so I haven't gotten around to it yet.

I hear ya. It was the rear main on the Northstar. That repair would cost almost 50% of the vehicle worth. Oil was cheaper! That car is gone now I have a fusion.

I know what you mean about marking your trucks territory. My parking spot at school has a huge black oil spot lol. A bunch of the parking spots at work have oil stains from my truck as well lol.

I try to stay in the same parking spot every day at work so there's just one spot, but there's about a 20 parking spot rectangle outside my apartment that is a huge oil Slick lol. It's so pretty when it rains
