Emissions system effects
On a 1987 f250 (assuming it will be the same on a 150) what effects will the emissions system have on the truck? Like gas mileage. I just bought it and the belt that drives that whole system is not even there. I’m wondering what all will happen when I add it or will nothing happen?
The idea is to make the converter hotter by adding oxigen. The converter may have a higher tendency to eventually plug if your engine is not running top notch.

If the belt is gone for an extended period of time, the pump will be noisy has been my experience
