Default ele/start issue

after replacing the wires behind my dash to get the tail lights to work. put the dash back up( didnt reintall it, just mock up). i try and start the truck. i trace down the ignitions wires. red with light blue strip, green, and green with white strip to the Ignition control modular. the wires look fine. so time for a lil testing. after using a jumper wire on the plug that goes to the clutch master cylinder. i use the jumper wire to from red, red w/lit blue, to green w/white. i push the break pedal and the truck starts jumping forward (it was still in gear). now this will happen even with no key in at all. so am i looking at replacing the ICM? cause i break lights so i dont see why the sensor that i mounted above the pedal would have anything to do with this.

What did you do? Hook the brake lights to the start wire?

the green w/white is no the brake wire per say, it runs from there with both the red w/lit bl to the ICM.

Your melted wire issue probably fused two wires together.
