I'd say you'll probably loose a good 1 to 2 mpg by removing it. Unless you self tune your fuel, then you can make it back up again.

I've been playing the EGR game for a little while now. I bought the RM Injection elimnator because I between a new EGR pipe and a new valve it would have been a $300 plus fix. So I did that for a while, but the truck didnt seem to be runnign as good as it should, so I pulled the EGR off my parts truck and although I'm still getting the engine light periodically, it does seem to run better, with more power at all speeds. I've got another EGR that supposedly was good that I picked up for $25 from a guy and I'm going to clean that up and see if that works better. The RM injection will just turn off the CE light. As somebody else stated on here, black electrical tape will do that too.

also the truck runs noticeably smoother. It kind of vibrated a lot more before and it seemed to idle at different RPMs based on ambient air temp.
