Default ECU removal??

can someone give me a step by step (maybe with pictures if possible) to removing the ECU so that i can swap mine and my dads to see if thats the cause of my starting problem?

remover driverside kick panel. its the silver box behind that little wing peice sticking out a little. you need to unscrew the black plastic fender peice about half way down so you can have the clearcence to pull out. remove the little rectangle harness. then it should slide out. it will not come out from inside the cab. depending on witch one you need i got a one for a 95 302 5spd.

Has to be the same drivetrain or it won't work.

Ok thanks alot for that input.. How do I unscrew the black plastic fender piece? That's the problem I ran into..

You have just remove the screws that are holdind it in. Some are on the bottom of the cab i think to so look carefully
