Default E4od question

I have a 94 F150 351 E4od trans 4wd. It doesn't happen all the time but every now and then it seems to jump out of gear. If you dont catch it and stay on the gas it slams back in. If you let off it most of the time goes back to normal. Sometimes it does it alot sometimes not at all! It doesn't seem like a slipping problem.

Check the fluid. Maybe flush the tranny and torque converter and fill it with newer fluid.

Check the shift lever position sensor/neutral safety switch. They're prone to corrosion due to being mounted on the side of the trans. Mine did this last year. thought trans was toast. Replaced switch and trans went back to shifting perfect and staying in gear.
