well we got the pump out finaly found the right adapter for the slide hammer after looking 4 places

if you havent done a trany before make sure you shim the clutches accordingly...

I set them tighter than stock... 4 thou on new as soon as you run it they will wear to .010 and be real nice...

ok ill do that i have a friend that has rebuilt a lot of trannys before so ill tell him im just helping and learning not to bad trade off giving him my 93 explorer with 144k with a blown head as a trade

now im no tranny guy but i was told the way they use to put those pumps back in was freeze them any other ways to get em back in

not really....

you heat the trany with a heat gun to expand the opening and freeze the pump to shrink it....they go together real easy...as the 2 materials come to the same temp they fit as tight as you seen...

I do this with ball joints...I have never used a press on any vehicle....I freeze them...
