Warlockk- I do trust him he had it when the light was on so i assume it would be a wiring problem.
Rusty... I personally dont wanna mess inside the tranny and I dont feel that dropping the pan is good cause from my experience once you mess with that you always will. I guess I am gonna start rewiring. I was just hoping maybe i didnt have to. Thanks

 

Dropping the pan to change the filters is easy routine maintenance that needs to be done on any vehicle at some point in its life. It's not very hard, just messy. To me it's an easy first step to rule out on a tranny that's acting up.

 

Second that. The filters requires service. Also as I say you should see if the sensor is correct before condemning it. Test its output at specific temperatures. Also check the fluid temps with a reliable thermometer. It does no good to bypass a safety device that is actually working.

 

Does your speedometer work? I had squirrels chew the wires going to the speed sensor in the rear end and it triggered the OD light. If it is a bad speed sensor don't get a cheap one, they're junk.

 

Ok well then we will change fluid and filter. The OD light never stops flashing I have both speed sensors ordered. Im not sure how I could check temps while running what kind of thermometer should i use im gonna have to buy it i dont have one. THANKS for ya'lls help

 

How do i test the output?

 

You need a multi meter. The resistance changes with temperature. If I recall correctly resistance decreases as temp increases.
