Question Door Trouble.

Hey quick question, on my 92 f150 ext, my drivers side door dropped down about 1/4-1/2 inch so it wont shut. Unless i lift it up and shut it. Any ideas where to start to try and adjust this? I look like a goon reaching out my window to shut my door. ha Thanks guys.

Yea I just took a quick look at it and didn't see the pin broken. Is it the lower pin hinge?

i don't know i can't see it LOL check the bolts/rivets that hold the door hinge in place they might have come loose either on the door or door sill.

well the door is held on by two hinges so its that or the door metal is warped that's about it.

I have to tell people getting in my truck not to pull up on the door because i don't want to buy a new hinge

Is there play in the door? If so it's probably worn bushing on the door pins. I know I need to replace them on 3 of my 4 doors.

Yea there is play in the door up and down. Is it just the pin that runs though both hinges? Can it be replaced or just a whole new hinge upper and lower?

You can get hinge pin kits cheap ! It's a lot easier than trying to replace the hinges and re-aligning the door and they're easy to do. I think they're around 6.00 each
