Default Door Latch issue

Lately ive noticed, and it has gotten worse, my door latches are not catching always. I shut it, and it doesnt fully shut! have to reopen it and really put some muscle into it to get it to shut, and it appears to do the same on the passenger side!

It there something i can do to tweak the latch or something i need to adjust on it to get it to shut properly?

Thanks!

Usually that means the door pin bushings are shot and the door is sagging. Open the door a little and lift on it to see if there is movement.

Check pins and bushings as Sean said also check the plastic bushings on the latch bolts and spray down the latching assembly with WD40 or a penetrating oil/grease like Prism.

i agree w / the above .
you might try to adjust the large pin on the door frame . that helped w mine i still have some trouble sometimes until i can get a better fix on it.

You should be able to pick up some new door pin bushings from your local auto parts store if they're shot. They helped my truck a lot.
