It should be on the door jam, I believe 92-06 is the same. Remove the screw in the rubber housing and the switch will pull out of the jam or that’s the way it is on my 92 xlt. Mine works when it wants to so I've got to pick me one up too.

Unless you have the one that is between the hinges up at the front of the door which my pass side has, then you remove it with a wrench or socket.

mine used to not work. try WD-40 on the plunger. push it in, flick it back out, etc etc. worth a shot. you're going to buy another one anyways.
I almost bought one till i did that

Nah they're not that bad, and it may have got unplugged on the back side. I would try the WD-40 suggestion first.

Mine actually screws into the frame. Weird huh? It's like that on both sides.

Mine is bad but I can't just cant justify buying one until I fix the hinge. (sagging hinge has bent the switch internally and "wallered" it out. It seems that last little bit where it shuts more like slams it pulls up a bit to finish shutting. Now THAT is going to be a bigger PITA to fix before I can fix the switch.

Are you sure it's not just worn out pin/pin bushings? That's why mine sagged, and took me about 15 minutes to put two new pins and four bushings in.
