Question distributor rotor (button) breaking apart

I have a 1994 f150 inline 6 with about 190,000 plus mile on it. When I accelerate there is a scrapping or kazoo sounding noise (this is the best example I can give for the sound I hear) coming from the distributor cap area. I had to recently change the rotor (button) due to the metal contact breaking off of the plastic piece. I inspected the cap and noticed there was signs of scrapping on the plastic where the center post is located. After replacing the button the noise stopped but only for a few miles. Any ideas on what could be wrong and any advise on a fix.

Sounds like the distributor bushing may be bad. If it is, it would be easier (to me) to change the whole distributor.
