Default Distributor problems

This is a distributor rotor issue. I've tried 4 different brand new rotors (3 BWD ones, 1 motorcraft) and none of them fit. The little peg that goes down into the distributor on the new ones is too wide by fractions of an inch to let it sit down properly on the post in the dist. I'm really confused as to why nothing will fit, any ideas?

Try one of the older wedge looking rotors, Ford made 2 push on styles.

Can you please post a picture of that?

The one that everything says this truck should have is Motorcraft DR375A:

But this does not fit

The one that's currently on the truck doesn't look like the one pictured in the MSD picture... It looks like the motorcraft piece but the stud that goes into the little hole in the dist on the new ones are just a teeny bit too wide

Might sound stupid but does your dist use a screw on type?

No sir, just push the button down on the post, line up the stud on the button with the hole in the dist and it goes all the way on.

See why this isn't making sense? I'm not tryin' to be difficult, promise lol

Just trying some options, another thing, not to insult you, are you using the large oval hole on the dist?

Yes. And I'm not feeling insulted, don't worry, I'd be doing the same thing from your side.

I can take the old distributor rotor off and on no problems, every time. The new rotors just don't fit... And there's no marking on the old rotor I'm still using, so I don't know what's up. As far as I can think the distributor should be OEM or an OEM replacement, so I'm really stumped here
