Default Distributor gear

I want to change the distributor gear as well as the timing chain on my 1995 f150 351w. I'm finding a lot of different options out there.. Can someone help with that? I have a new bronze MSD gear but I'm afraid to use it now because of what I've read.

If the bronze gear is not a good idea then what type of gear is recommended? I believe this engine has A roller type camshaft..
