Dead battery or wrong wiring?
turned the ignition over and all i hear is that same repeated clicking sound over and over again in a rapid formation. It's the starter tryna turn over the fly wheel and can't due to not enough power.Autozone tested it making sure it works, and it does.My dad pushed me me from behind in his truck giving me speed. Then i let go,while in 2nd gear and holding the clutch in.it started right up!
re-charged the battery thinking it was dead.installed it back on,turned the ignition over, nothing.abso nothing on the dash board.
took another battery, from one of our other trucks, and re-charged it.took 24 hrs.Thing is,I put it on but once again there's nothing on the dash board whatsoever, yet there's this humming sound coming from under the hood in the starter area? sounds like a small motorish sound as if something is tryna start or turn over like something as small as the wind shield wiper motor.I dont know what it is! the wires to the starter are on correctly (fat red wire in the top middle, skinny red wire on the left side of that fat red wire and the black wire at the bottom for ground).
where's that sound coming from? Is it only a bad battery and needing a new one,bad wiring or something else? I've worked on vehicles quite a few times,i'm experienced, but something this simple has me wondering what's going on.

That is a pretty stange problem considering you switch batteries. I would still suspect the battery though since it will run when you push start it. Give the terminals a good clean and try jump starting it from another truck with a good battery that truck is running. If yours starts you know its a battery... mine had the same sympotoms when the battery died.
It's a Canadian thing eh!

Check battery cables, you could put on a brand new battery and it will still do the same. Common is the ground cable that runs down to the frame, then the starter. Clean up all you're connections and replace anything if its got corrosion on it cause chances are its got more elsewhere.
The humming sound makes me think of a bad short. Recheck all the wires, battery, ground, solenoid , alternator, starter. Test the lined for a dead short. Look for burned wires. See if anything is hot when you try to start.
the thing is,once i put that other charged battery in the truck, every time the negative touches the post that motoring sound comes on.Neighbor said it's the starter tryna spin, but not enough push to push it forward to turn the fly wheel.Another words,it's sitting there spinning but not going forward.it's never done that before until this other batter was put in there.doesn't make sense.
thinking maybe it's a bad short, wire, somewheres.the keys aren't even in the ignition when the starter comes on when the negative side touches the post(and that's after the positive sides already connected).I hooked the wires back up to the starter just fine, that was easy.so i don't really understand why it's doing this.
bad relay perhaps?
Try this little trick. Grab a 5 amp fuse. Clip some jumper wires to it. With your negative battery cable off and the positive connected, use the fuse assembly you just made to jump between the battery and the negative cable. Make sure all lights radio etc are off and the key is turned off. If the fuse blows you have a serious wiring problem somewhere. Don't use a meter for this test because you may damage it. ( unless you have a high amp meter or an inductive pickup ). It sounds like the battery power is trying to run or short something. You should have no more than half an amp drain with the key off. If it pulls enough to blow a 5 amp fuse there is a major short. I wouldn't connect that battery until you find it.

we tried that 2 weeks ago and nothing.I tried that today and nothing happened and yes the key was on and turned over. It's supposed to start up when touching both sides at the same time right? if nothing happens then that relay is bad, right? i'm thinking it is.
I personally believe that relay went out and all that juice is going righttttt past it straight to the battery and starter, flooding them both out with too much power. That relay acts like a stop sign,or a breaker box in humble opinion.
You can easily check the solenoid with a meter. No point in buying parts that might get damaged while looking for the problem. The screwdriver jump is to bypass the solenoid when its not working. It that doesn't turn the starter then its something else. Basically you are connecting the battery directly to the starter with the screwdriver.
