Default damn door dinger

So I was working on my truck this weekend and had my drivers door open for a long, long time and that frickin dinging chime was annoying me so I decided to put a electrical tape shim against it. Fixed... After an hour I forgot it was there and shut the door, subsequently slightly jamming the dinger in there.

I didn't think anything about it and started the truck and drove off and clicked on my seatbelt to make sure the sound went off, only the dinging wouldn't stop and the overhead light wouldn't go off either. In order to continue driving without the light on and the annoying chime driving me crazy I took a hammer claw end and removed the chime pusher thing entirely. Out came the pin pusher thing and the spring. Now it doesn't ding but the overhead light doesn't come on either when the drivers door is open. Light still comes on when the passenger door is open.

So how the heck do I fix it now?

Please help thanks!

You used a claw hammer to yank that switch out when all you had to do was unplug the dinger box? Nice, yea...get a new switch.

I should have added I had just removed the tools out of my truck, all I could find was a hammer.
Where can I buy the new dinger switch from?

I can actually take my key OUT of the ignition after I turn mine on or to accessory and turn the chrome ring a bit and it shuts my annoying *** buzzer off.

I'm lucky I know

On a side note I wish I had a camera for the couple of times my friends have tried to take my keys out of my ignition while my truck was running, after i've had two or so beers.....the faces i'd catch on that camera when people look at me and i'm smilin away with the keys in my pocket and the truck idling hahahaha
