Default cracked head

well we figured out what was is wrong with my truck. it has a cracked head and is leaking out everywhere, intake, exhaust, and the radiator. found some remanufactured ones on ebay for around $300. so it looks like i'll get to see the inside of my cylinders soon.

I don't recommend buying "rebuilt" heads off eBay. I did once back a few years ago and it turned out horribly. They wernt milled the same and not to mention they got destroyed in shipment. Valves broke off...the whole bit. I'd get a couple from a junk yard an have a shop build them for you. I know the couple shops round me charge 200 to go thro the whole bit. That is per head but least you know what you have.

$200 per head? Ouch, they charge $100 per head here. with 3 angle valve job, new valves and resurface.

It costed me $220 with new valve stems for my GT-40 heads.

I could be wrong on the price...I thought it was a piece but that was a few years back. Been awhile. Prob could just do the one on the cheap. I'd do both just for peace of mind. New valve job an seals never hurts anything.

honestly I'd spend the extra and buy a new one from enginequest... they are thicker castings and wont crack as easy....
