converting to carb, fuel system?
I am in the process of converting my EFI over to a carb system, I am doing this because I am tired of all the computer and wiring problems I have been having. Its not a daily driver just an old farm truck. My only question is what am I needing to do to the fuel system? Thanks
Im pretty sure that is what you have to do ... If its anything like switching a gm over to carb.. you have to have a regulater.. becouse the FI blocks have no manual fuel pump location from 87 and on
Im not sure about a ford.. but you might check that

BOB you are correct the fuel injection engines do not have a place to mout the fuel pump on the timing chain cover.
A regulator would be the best bet, because you already have the pump. Plus a new timing chain cover will run at LEAST $60, and to change it, the water pump comes off, (replace it), the dampener an pullies have to come off, and you maight as well change the timing chain if your going that far. it would be cheaper and easier to do a regulator. I'm doing the same thing so I had to do my homework.
