I would clear out the codes and start from scratch, and also check the fuel pressure.

The "engine" light is an idiot light that will come on for low oil pressure, high water temperature, or a charging fault. Yes there's a port on the fuel rail to check pressure. Easiest way to clear codes is to disconnect the battery for a few minutes.

Okay that makes sense. My truck has mechanical gauges for water temp, oil pressure and voltage gauge. So that takes care of that light. As far as my check engine light goes, it has never been on since i've owned the truck. My truck runs perfect other then it won't rev past 3500 rpms. I'm going to go check what my fuel pressure is right now.

What should the pressure be around?

Thanks, Colby
