Clogged injectors?
So I have a 1995 F150 5.8 and it was sitting for sometime. I've got it running and stuff now and my mechanic had me put gas in it just thinking it had spoiled or old gas in it so I put 5 gallons in it and ran it and it won't start until the 3rd or 4th turn of the key. We changed the fuel filter a few days ago and the gas that came out of the back of the filter was literally black. He has that came out of the front looks like gas. Anyway it still idles rough and takes 4 turns of the key to start it even after the filter change. I've changed the plugs cap and rotor on it. I'm going to inspect the timing on it sometime soon and get it right and see if that helps but I'm kinda afraid the injectors are full of crap from the fuel.. Anyone else got any thoughts on what it could be and how to eliminate possibilities?

Have you verified you have good fuel pressure on both tanks (if you have 2)?
Probably need to run some seafoam/techron for awhile.

some dip shi* took a screw driver and a hammer to the front tank and yeah I think so. It stays running after it starts and it drives just doesn't have tons of power. I can floor it down my mechanics 600yard driveway and get to 30 that's it.

Have you verified it with a gauge?
Sounds like the tank needs replacing soon - if you have a bad pump too it would be an ideal time to replace both.

Glad you got it sorted. FYI you should be seeing 40-45 psi KOEO. With the FPR unplugged from vacuum while running it sould be running at max pressure around 45 psi.
