Default clock spring

So, Im replacing the clockspring in my 94 4x2 f150. Ive got it all apart except for one little wire that goes to a brown little clip on the lock cylinder. How do I remove this clip? Do I have to remove the lock cylinder for this?

Figured it out. I had to remove the lock cylinder and pry up a little tab on the clip and it just slid off the same direction that the lock cylinder came out. I guess its the contact for the 'Key in" buzzer. I guess this explains why mine was constantly buzzing with the door open, key in or not.

Just a quick follow up on this. I got the clockspring from Rockauto.com and installed it. It was real easy. The hardest part was getting up the nerve to connect the airbag thinking it might go off. It didnt. So, now my horn works and my airbag light goes out after startup. Good times....

A friend of mine has a 1995 F150 and his airbag light is blinking too.
What category did you find the clockspring under on Rockauto.com?
I did some peeking and can't find it. A search for clockspring gives me
suspension and engine as the places to look.

Thanks!

Yeah, its hidden pretty well. Its under body-interior and its called airbag clockspring. It was a pretty easy replacement.

I just bought a 1994 F150 4wd with the inline six. After reading on here I believe I may need a clock spring as well. My horn does not work, the air bag light is flashing 3 then 2, the intermitant wipers do not work all the time and the windshield washer does not work.

My questions are do you all think that is indeed the problem? Is there a way to check it before removing it? What all is involved in replacing it? I am assuming the steering wheel has to be removed right?

Thanks in advance.
Jim
