Default Clearance Lights

So I want to install clearance lights on my truck, anyone on here do that before? How much of a pain is it? advice? I also was told there is a wire behind the passenger side kick board that you can hook them up to so when you turn on your headlights the clearance lights turn on with them, true?

Just get the right hole saw and the drilling is easy the hard part is getting enough courage to hack up your roof lol. My roof had a little bit of insulation stuff on the passenger side but a stiff wire went through it easy enough.

Tyler.172, if your truck is an 87-91, that plug will be in the driver side kick panel, just so ya know. I didn't see the year of your truck in this thread.

Running the wire is easy. Just measuring out and making the harness takes a little time and some soldering. They can all be wired in parallel, and they ground to the roof of the truck, so its just a power wire with 5 leads off it. Solder so you never have to take it out and fix it!

60$ is a real good price, maybe I'll look into that too.
