Chugging Problem Driving Me Crazy
never really got it fixed, stoped for awhile and it's back.
when ever i let the tank get below 1/4 tank, it chugs when trying to give it full throttle, or even 1/2 throttle. fill the tank up and it still does it inless i put gumout in it. or dry gas. What in the hell could this be?

ive ran the B**** dry, and ya i know what ya mean, its just annoying when you go to pass a car or go up a hill and have to give it more gas and the truck jerks, but when it gets above 3,000 rpm's it is normal.
Running off the bottom of the tank will pooch a filter fast. Running better w/ full tank, implies a weak pump. Better w/ gumout could mean poor injector atomization except that should progressively get better. The fact that it dosen't implies a modification of the fuels combustive properties is why you temporarily experiencing improved drivability. Hope your running 87 octane.
A weak coil or ignition system in poor condition could do it too. Then there's the fuel pressure regulator.

i'm a firm believer in changing fuel filters. i've seen the difference in multiple vehicles. my buddies cheby would crank and crank and crank for like 5 minutes before he could start it, it was slower than molasses he changed the fuel filter, would start on the first crank and spin the tires with a bit of throttle. he gave me a hug after he changed the filter like i told him lol it is funny though how it can cause intermittent problems like yours too. but i always say, if you can't pinpoint the problem and you want to just try a few things change the fuel filter first, i can never hurt, and its pretty cheap
