Default Checking Manual Trans Fluid?

ok so i dont know if this is a idiotic question but how do you check the trans fluid in a 1995 f150 xlt, 5 speed truck. i just keep looking to find a dip stick and im not seeing it, do they make dip sticks for manual trans?

Take upper plug out of hole, stick your finger in and see if your finger gets wet.

where is the upper plug located at?

Honestly I forget, just look for a large nut about half way up, in the middle of trans.

Manual transmissions don't have dipsticks. That's how you check the fluid on them all. There might be a few exceptions, but I've never seen a manual with a dipstick. If fluid comes out of the FILL hole that's fine too, just put the plug back in real quick.
