charged A/C

Default charged A/C

So i charged my ac and now it seems like my truck jumps time every time i turn the ac on. Whats the deal??

Check pressure with a real gauge, not the one on the charging kit. Also pop your belt off and ensure the clutch bearing is good. Replace belt turn truck on and ensure that the clutch is engaging and disengaging. May also want to ensure that your alternator is putting out enough power.

Alternator is pumping plenty of volts. And compressor is engaging properly and the last time it was charged was maybe 8 years ago. My egr valve was clogged and valve was stuck. I freed it up and cleaned it out and still same issue. When i run with ac off it runs ok. Plus my fuel consumption is ridiculous maybe 5mpg now

Check your small diameter hoses for vacuum leaks and then pull your codes.
