Default 10th gen seats in a 9th gen truck?

Has anyone ever put 10th gen seats in a 9th gen body?... I'm looking for a 9th gen bench but having a hard time finding a decent one ... But I find 10th gen seats for sale for cheap all day long... I'm about to get a 93' xlt 4.9 5sp reg cab but he took out the original bench... W/ a little wrench time it should be a great truck but it'll be a better truck if i have a seat to sit on ... Thanx in advance

80 to 96 are the same cab. Anything else you'll have to measure a bit. Sometimes swapping tracks from the right seat to a nicer one works.

Width wise you should be all right, the only issue would be mounting the new seat to the bench frame. A little drilling, maybe a tack weld or two (but I doubt it) and you should be set.

Im in Decatur, Tx... Im not to concerned about drilling/bolting seats... Thats not really a big deal... My main concern would be the width/depth/height aspect of it ... Im getting this truck in trade for some labor for my bro-in-law, i may have to go the junk yard route .. I just hate dealing w/ them only to find out the seats they have r trashed cuz theyve been out in the weather... Been looking mainly on Craigslist for parts trucks w/ decent seats but just bavent run across any yet.. Id rather the original bench seat but any seats will be better than no seats at all.

Just keep an eye out and you will eventually run across something. Lot of 8th and 9th gens running around. My local parts lot gets a new one in every month or so, come across a lot with decent to nice seats, even some that have been sitting with no windows have seats in decent shape and we get a lot more rain/snow than you do.

I'm right down the road from you in Azle.
Here's a couple with potential on craigslist. Find some nice material and have them recovered!

Those are both extended cabs. I don't know if you would want the split bench in a regular cab or not!

I'm not sure what Year Truck these Seats came out of, but whoever did it swapped Steering Wheels also. So it's definitely possible.Name: ford%20f-150%20bucket%20seats%20different%20wheel_zpshpgthu5r.jpg

that looks like a crown Vic column....

That center seat is from a ram, not sure on the sides

10th seats in a 9th has been done, it doesn't seem too big a deal
