chamber problem
If you paid by credit card, you have them by the short hairs, as you can reverse the charge if they don't play fair! Something to mention in passing, but not rub their nose in. You can do a temp. stop payment on a check too, if it hasn't been cashed yet. Your better off not getting another shop in the mix if you can help it. Just go in & state your case to the original shop. You should at least give them the option of doing the right thing by you. A set of brackets is not that big a stretch to keep a good customer happy. Get a second opinion first, so you know what your talking about, as to whether the brackets will actually rectify the problem. If you don't know, they'll tell you what they think you should to know.

agreed, 50 bucks isnt a lot for a shop to keep a guy happy and have him tell his buddies about it. They SHOULD have known better. My question, did you buy the kit from them or did you buy the kit from somewhere else and have them install it? if you bought it outside the shop, then i think they'll tell you it's your fault. Where you got the kit from is ultimatly responsible, they should have known better. if you got a cheapie kit off of ebay then, yea you should have known better. Not trying to rain on you, but the last word is let the buyer beware, and the shop can say that rightly. But yes if it were my shop, I would get you the brackets just to keep you safe.
