Default Center Console

Hey guys, im about sick of having no cup holder in my truck. I hate having to carry my drink in my lap. And i dont want to spend $100 on some cheap plastic crap console made in China. So i decided i was going to make one myself. Ive seen pictures before of some wood grain consoles in f150 and i think im going to imitate that, because I do good carpentry work. But recently i havent been able to find any good pictures online of stock fold down or built in center consoles to help with the design... Can you guys help me? if you have a f150 with a center console inside it, can you please take a picture of it? maybe a good picture that shows all the important parts. Or if you can find some good pictures online that would help TREMENDOUSLY. Thank you guys!!

P.s. i drive a 94 f150 with a standard bench seat, to give yall an idea

I've never been a big fan of wood grain in vehicles. I think it's due to the old, fake wood panels on 70's wagons...like the Vista Cruiser ,lol! Anyway, it could be a cool project. I thought about doing something like that with my old Dakota, since that truck had the dumbest, most useless cup holders in the history of vehicles. They were wide and shallow, with nothing to hold your cup tight. Every slight turn you made, you would have to remember to grab it, or your drink would flip completely upside down at your feet! Anyway, I just couldn't seem to come up with a good design using wood...at least, nothing that wouldn't take up too much time. Building out of wood seemed to be too bulky and thick, without much room inside. The F150 is more roomy, though, so it should work out better.

well im gonna give it a try. ill sand it down real good, stain it pretty, and put a nice thick clear coat on it to help it last. But ill definitely make sure to post some pictures when im done. The main reason im choosing wood grain is because like I said Ford put some wood grain in the center console of some of the 94 F150's so it fits the model.
