I was also under the impression that the CC844S were the heavy dutier of the two. I'm glad I read this before I did the swap myself.

I've had the springs sitting in my garage waiting for the time to install them since late January. There is no way I can return them. I'll just keep them in untill I tackle the ball joints, and I'll do it then. In the meantime I'll enjoy the .5 mpgs I can get back from loosing 2 inches in the front!

I'm glad to hear you can learn from my mistakes! It sure as hell isn't the first time that's happened to me.

I get buyers remorse about buying expensive paper plates and they're $.45 more than generics but I don't get it for buying hundreds of dollars worth of truck parts I didn't need.

Ok so guys i've done some initial research on this. The CC844s should be the tougher of the two.

Moog CC844s:
Bar Diameter - Inches0.81
End Type 1Pigtail
End Type 2Pigtail
Feature Proper ride height reduces downtime and repair costs.
Free Height - Inches15.79
ID - Inches 4.00
Installation Height - Inches13.00
Load - lbs1759.00
Spring Rate - lbs per inch629.00
Spring Type Variable Rate

Moog CC844:

Bar Diameter - Inches0.81
End Type 1Pigtail
End Type 2Pigtail
Feature Ideal for family transportation, work trucks and sales fleet vehicles.
Free Height - Inches15.40
ID - Inches 4.00
Installation Height - Inches12.75
Load - lbs1557.00
Spring Rate - lbs per inch630.00
Spring Type Variable Rate

This shows that the CC844s are actually more heavy duty.

So im curious about something. All of yall with the CC844 springs in your truck, could you go park on a flat surface, and tell me the exact measurements of the height of your truck? all four wheels. Im wondering if they are perfectly level or not.

Thanks!

I recently made the change from stock to CC844 springs. On stock springs my truck had 3.5 inches between the top of the tire and fender. After the swap I have 5.5 inches. The rear did not change. It's at 6 inches.
