cap assy removal
1996 F150 XL 4x4
I took off the cap (torx screws) on my front axle and found another cap (see attachment). I have pulled and banged on it but can't remove it. It has no screw or bolts or anything I can see holding it in. I have beat it up bad with no success. Is there a trick to taking this thing off. I want to get to the bearings which are making noise. Can anyone identify and tell me how to get it off or what it is connected to.
