Default Cant take it anymore.

As the title states. I cant take much more of this madness. My mom walked by truck and tells me she smells a really strong gas smell. So I go out and check, sure enough my rear tank is leaking. So I park my truck, and start driving my car. I buy and install the tank, go to fill it up, and my gauge shoots past full the first time i start it up. 60 dollars worth of gas is leaking all over the road. My filler tubes i had rigged to fit off my flareside were not in as well as i thought and was leaking. Ok yes my fault I bite the bullet. No big deal. I call the local junk yard and get the right filler tubes, put them on, great all is dandy minus my gauge. So today on my way to work, driving up a hill i realize my truck wont do over 45 up a hill, i don't think much of it since its not a speed demon to begin with. BUT on my way home about 5-6 miles from work, my truck bogs down and stalls. I say ok maybe i lost more gas then i thought when filling it. Flip on the front tank and pull into the gas station. I throw 15 dollars in her just to make her home. On my way home my truck is running terribly, bucking and now i cant do over 35. About 10 miles after I get gas my truck starts bogging and stall. Flip it on my front tank truck runs perfectly and i make it home. ( my front tank has about an 8th a tank in it and leaks, as it did when i bought it the rear JUST started to leak.)

All opinions welcome.
Is my fuel pump maybe shot?

What year and motor size is your truck?
From what you have said I'm going with a bad pump.If it was a filter or regulator it would act up on both tanks not just the rear one.

Did your gas tank come sealed and painted. If it didn't come sealed and cured on the inside the metal in the tank can do that somehow... Happened to my brother 95. Also I would replace the pump because of the gauge is jumping there is somthong wrong with the sender anyways.

So I jacked up the bed of my truck, i was just gonna try disconnecting everything cleaning the connectors and see if i could get anything. No idea what this could be for, but this was just dangling there. not connected on either end. Any ideas?

I know this is an old thread and you probly fixed this already but that might be a vent line for the fuel tank.
