Default Bumper mounts

Was wondering if people with winch bumpers had any pictures of the mounting of their bumper???

My bumper needs some custom brackets.

I have an idea how I am going to weld some brackets but was wondering if anyone else had pictures of their mounting setups.

Thanks

well first, what bumper do you got? they will almost all need to be mounted differently. i dont think my setup will even work since you have the crumple zones but it will give you an idea.

The warn one I posted earlier...the mounts the guy had were way too narrow so I cut them and rebolted them to fit inside the frame and from their am going to bolt those mounts to the bumper.

because of your crumple zone i only know of 1 way to mount the bumper, which is the way warn had you mount it....

ill try to explain it as best i can...

they had a piece of angle iron that bolted to the factory bumper mount, and then had 1 bolt through the frame horn (had to drill a hole) past that there was a frame built off those to hold the bumper/winch. ill try finding a picture for you.

my mount just goes back into the frame rails where i drilled 2 1/2" holes and mounted it with 2 grade 8 bolts on either side.

found the link right away, here you go.

Do you think the metal mounts on each side of the bumper are neccesary? I would have to make those from scratch..

what do you mean metal mounts on each side?

EDIT do you mean the extensions from he outside of the frame rails to the ends of the bumper on each side? i think they are, otherwise the bumper is a lil to flimsy for my liking.
