Default Bronco Seats

I have a 96 F150 XLT with a full bench seat. I was wondering, would the buckets and console from a late 80s full size bronco bolt in? Also, would the steering gear box from a 302 bronco fit into a 300 f150? both are power steering. Thanks
Mike

i have a 90 extended cab that probably came from the factory with front bucket seats (could be wrong). they were apparently swapped out with 92-96 bucket seats and console from a bronco or truck (i've seen a 92-96 bronco with my same seats/console). I dont know if the bolt holes for a front bench are different than my buckets, but if they are, the seats should interchange. mine did, at least. the PO did it, not me.

You'll have to add 4 more holes. The Bronco seats have four bolts each (8 total) whereas the bench has four bolts total. Not sure how the console achors down but you will probably need to drill for that too.

It's on my project list too. Have only gone so far as to measure the seats in the junkyard and check out how they attach.

They'll fit, but you'll have to drill a few new holes and the brackets are a little different from 87-91 and 92-96. I've got a driver seat from a '92-96 in my '90 at the moment and had to shim up the rear of the seat bracket to get it closer to level. It's still tilted way back though.

CountryBoy, you should be okay with the '95 bronco seats in a '93 f150 though...same floor pan AFAIK.

where do you people get your information???

the floor pans are not different, the only thing different on the cabs from 80-96 is the mounting brackets inside the cab for the dash, foot controls, and steering column,

yes to put bronco buckets in a f150 you have to drill holes, make sure you use fender washers on the bottom side for safety.

i've had 94 bronco buckets in a 86 crewcab,(had to drill 2 holes for each seat),
also had a 92 with 83 bronco buckets(had to drill 2 holes for each seat)
i've got a 91 with a 86 bench in it,
i've got a 84 with a 95 bench seat in it,
and i've got a 95 with chevy caviler buckets in it, sitting on the rails of an 84 NO holes drilled.

you can take any seat from a 1980-1996(1997 f250/350) and they will bolt right in you dont have to shim anything and unless you use bronco seats then you have to drill holes.

AND TO THE OP, the steering boxes from 1980-1996(1997 f250/350) are the same.

My information comes from first hand experience...I notice you didn't say you had put 92-96 buckets in an 87-91. I have. The brackets are slightly different. They bolt up just fine, but the seat angle is off (like if you had 6-way power seats and tilted them as far back as you could.) Now if you use a 92-96 seat and an 87-91 bracket/slider assembly, they will be level.

I've also put the 92-96 captains chairs in an '86 that had a bench...they worked fine in it.

Maybe I just have a jacked up bracket...

Default question

Id like to put some 88 eddie bauer bucket seats with dual arm rests and the matching rear bench into my 96 XLT with bucket seats.. will this swap require any mods? you are very experienced, so i appreciate any input!
Thank you
