Default Broken frame at steering box

I have a 1996 that is in great shape. Too many new parts to list. This is what I'm dealing with.

That is in a bad spot. You got the gearbox and upper spring tower right there.. I would either get rid of your "great shape" truck (which is what I would do) or consult a frame specialist. Chances are good that there are other tender areas somewhere on your truck. It is probably one pot hole from totally collapsing.

Damn, it is not uncommon to see cracking in the frame near the steering box, but that is a lot worse than just a crack. Either cut out the damaged area and weld a section from a junkyard truck in, or do a whole frame swap. With that damage, I'd assume that the rest of the frame isn't in too great of shape either, so extra emphasis on the frame swap idea.

Hate to say it, but that looks Toyota ish
Like as in the rusted frame Tacomas from a decade or 2 ago
Very bad, very expensive, they were replacing frames
Toyota sells sections of frame now
I would put your body on another frame

By great shape he probably means new seat covers and a set of new fuel wheels with new tires.
