Default brake shudder?

95 f150 4wd 5.0 extended cab
While arriving at work I applied my brakes at the stop light when the truck started to shudder as if I were pulling a trailer with the brakes locked. The next morning I checked fluid level and filled it. ABS light remains on and sometimes the brake light. The truck will stop but I can push the pedal to the floor. As the truck is stopping it will ocasionally boom and seems to be trying to lock up. I have checked nothing as of yet and just wondered if some one could point me in the right direction. Thanks

I think you bottomed out the fluid in the master cylinder and now have air in the system. You'll need to bleed the entire system. Good time to switch to Synthetic!

I would start by bleeding the brakes and see if the pedal comes up. The ABS light automatically comes on when the brake light is on (not if it's on because of the parking brake though).
