Default Bed Bolts

Hey fellas,

I was just under my 94 f150 xl (8 ft bed) trying to put some P-oil on my bed bolts bc it'll be coming off this weekend. I could only find 4 bolts... is that legit?

much appreciated

There should be six, two at the very front two in the back half and two at the very back edge. The ones in the front and very back are easy to see but the middle ones are hidden around fuel lines.

Unless you have torx heads you are probably going to find that the only two that the nut comes off (bolt does not spin) are going to be the 2 in the middle by the wheel wells. Those are the only 2 that are true square bodied carriage bolts. The other 4 well they are oblonged ovals and spin pretty easy once the nut is backed off only a little bit. I discovered 3 different ways of removing them. They all involved a dremmel. The easiest I discovered was to use the dremmel to flatten off one end of thr head (cut a flat line totally off) jam a flathead screwdriver in the hole of the bed by the bolt where you cut one section of thr head off. Then back the nut totally off.
