Default Battery grounding?

So, i'm about to replace the wires from the alternator to the battery and the wire from the battery to the chassis/engine.

The battery ground is located in a tricky place so i wonder if its possible to ground anywhere? Or perhaps let the original wire be and just add an extra groudning wire somewhere else?

From the battery negative terminal, there should be a large wire running to the starter, with a connector in the middle that hooks up under motor (probably the one that you saw as tricky). There is also a smaller wire that connects directly to the core support just in front of the battery.

Yeah, with a great deal of patience i'd be able to loosen it but i'm not sure i have that much patience

So, would it be possible to ground the battery like, anywhere in the chassis or something thats bolted to the engine?

Every metal surface of the truck is ground (except for the power wires). You can hook ground anywhere but the end should be hooked to the starter bolt as it is now so the starter gets a good ground.
