im fixin to do the same thing ive had it all torn down once to change the front differental its a pretty good job you dont really need alot of special tool the main thing is a ball joint press you can rent one from the parts store i checked on it today 117 to rent but you get it back if its 4 wheel drive you will need the spindle nut thats like 20 bucks getting the spindle off was my hardest thing that took me more time than anything

I assume yor 4x4. I know your going to need to tear down to the spindles. Take your wheel off, take your caliper off, tke the locking ring holding your hub in out, Pull the hub out, pull the cam out, then pull the key out that holds three washers, and pull those too, then you will have the nut that holds the rotor, its 2 1/4 or 2 1/2" i believe. Take that off and the entire rotor/hub/wheel bearing assembly will pull off. Then idk where to go from there as i did the above to replace wheel bearings. Which i suggest you do while you have it apart. Stock up on brake clean to clean the gunk out so you can see. Once i knew what i was doing i can tear one side down, pack, and replace bearings and reassemble in about 30 minutes. No biggy.

You really should replace the upper when you replace the lower. And remember to get a press to put the new ones in, you can hammer the old ones out, but the new ones have to be pressed in.
