Default Bagged pre runner?

I have a 96 f150 longbed and ive planning on doing bags for some time but ive recentley realized a company makes pre runner style front and rear fender flares. I know it probably wouldnt be functional, but what do you guys think of a prerunner style truck bagged? I know itd be different as ****, but It would be like a street tank. Like a shunt truck. Idk just brainstorming ideas together here. Think front brushguard, roll bar with lights, cage, front and rear 4-6 in buldge fenders, tube rear bumper, on 18 with low pro nitto terra grapplers bagged. Only reason i was thinking it wouldnt be functional wouldbe the fragility of the bags themselves as far as suspension shock for off roading and being punctured, but what if i weld a sheetmetal sleeve around em to protect them? Maybe even quick release to clean around bags.

Airbags have come a long way, although I'm not sure if they will hold up to that still. Maybe talk to the airbag company and see if they think they will work. I don't think a metal sleeve will work because the airbags compress almost totally flat, so there would be no room.

I wonder if i can find any that compress inward. If nothing else it would be a dirt/rock/twig shield than anything. Dude and anyone that reads this, thanks for being so accepting to new ideas. Most of the time ive talked on another forum (cough 502streetscene.net) theyve been total douche holes. But you guys are really open about wild ideas. Thanks guys.

as sean said air bags are tough now, i put a set of ride rite firestones on the back of my 95 300, I think i can get some pics it may take some time tho. But neways they were tough as nails. i didnt do to much off roading with it, but i doubt anything would happen, i use to haul 2 1000 lb boxes of vegetables with the air bags full and it would ride level. the engine didnt like me after those runs but truck rode good, only problem was i didnt have the compressor on the truck so i left them full which made her ride like a f-550 rough as hell.

Hell yeah thats pretty sweet. That way i could go low pro terra grapplers and ride high for light duty off roading and low for show/street/parking lot cruising. Might even go beadlocks. I seen a 96 f150 prerunner the other day and i was like oh t hat baad ****. But ive been wanting to bag for awhile, so i was like **** it, splice the two together and see what we get. Anyone have photoshop to show me roughly what ill have? Ill get the pics if anyone does. Ps ^ this thing censors out curse words automatically? Thats crazy lol. Never senn that one before.
