Bad U Joints?
Ditto on not purchasing communist made joints. Precision are great, spicer are even better in my opinion. I purchased brute force from advance one time, and it was also the last time, poor metal quality, and cheap in general.
And if it does wiggle, even after the joints are replaced, you could have loose pinion yoke and that causes the joints to sort of fight the rear end to get centered. They seem to loosen up at the crush sleeve as it looses tension over the years. That can cause a clunk as it pulls in and out between driving the gear, and riding on the coast at a low speed.. Not likely the issue, but I had the same issue with a 91 Ranger, and it was a loose pinion. just another thing to check while messing with yoke.
Got underneath my truck today and there is some play in the driveshaft. I got u joints today and they are going on this weekend. I'll update everybody after the job and let ya know if that was the fix
