axle vent

Default axle vent

93 150 5L 4x4 super cab ok i found a line hanging from my rear im pretty sure its just the axle vent but i cant for the life of me find where it goes to if you look on the rear where the rubber brake hose splits into the metal break lines it comes off of that block its about 2 feet long and has a plastic barb type fitting can some one please let me know where this hose goes maybe a pic would be nice

I have the same thing. A rubber hose line that goes no where... Cant tell where it goes... sorry. I would sure like to know myself

I just clipped mine to a spot inside the driver side rear wheel well... I left it high to minimize the possibility of anything getting into it

it doesnt go anywhere, its purpose is to vent the air. just tape it or glue it facing up towards the bed. beofre you do take it off and the metal piece that screws into the axle and get out any soot that has built up in it.

my truck has a plastic bracket inside the drivers side frame rail, and it just snaps in. that same bracket also holds a brake line, above where the vent is supposed to be.
