Default Auto hubs

Ok im new here but i thought yall would Knw.. I have a 96 f150 with auto hubs and i got stuck the other day and it went in 4x4 but my hubs wouldnt lock.. I was wondering how hard it would be to change them over to manual hubs..

Warn makes the kit, the hubs and the proper locknut/install parts. And it you are going to change over, I might be interested in the auto hubs.

Or you can find a donor truck with man hubs and scavenge all the parts you would need.

The parts store sells em as well or bronco graveyard usually has decent prices. I can't remember if that front end requires the conversion kits....any know????

Warn and Mile Marker sell hubs and kits to convert from manual hubs. You must purchase both the hubs and the conversion kit. I am not sure if the hub conversion requires one to remove the wheel hub or not you might consider purchasing the proper style hub nut socket. These are typically a 4 pronged socket that is used to remove the lock nuts from the hub spindles. While you are replacing the hubs it would be a good time to check and repack the wheel bearings and spindle bearings. While you have the bearings out you should replace the wheel and spindle seals.

take them apart and clean them, there is not suposed to bee greas in there btw. The Manule hubs are so much better tho, but thats just me.
