Default Ashtray help

I am restoring my 96er. Does anyone know of a site where I can find an ashtray bracket? I've got the ashtray but the bracket is lost to time. Ive tried the junkyards and ebay has one with the ashtray but im trying to track down just the plain bracket. Thanks. C.

I don't know of any site that has that part. I would think you could find it at the local salvage yard, or pick-n-pull yard.

Calling Bigduck, Bigduck please reply to this thread... thank you.

This is exactly the reason that people skip right over the new(by) forum members, because when you extend that kind of generosity out to them, they seem to always disappear... it's like a waste of time even trying.

Yes that is the part that I need. Thanks for posting the pictures. I'll private message you later with details. Now on to the last commentor...grow up. I have a job where I am on call. I am out of the house extensively. I have had a few unforseen things going on that were more of a priority than checking on this thread. I have learned in life to be patient and let people respond in their own time to various matters. The world will go on. Its people who make quick draw comments and judgements about others that make me laugh/cringe at how self centered some can be.

Got your PM, sent you one back. I'm here almost every day, at random times.

Real talk: I've ran forums where new folks, such as yourself - would come in and ask a question(s)... no problem with that... the membership would answer that person's question(s)... many people would chip in on different aspects of the questions, offer alternate solutions, and even offer to help them with the issue, if they didn't live too far away... only to never see or hear of the person again. Which ended up being nothing but a way to clutter/spam the boards with BS... hiding all of the useful info from "lurkers".

Clearly, since you replied back to this thread, you have proven that you are not a "drive-by poster" that I eluded to... but a participating member, thanks for showing the participation and appreciation.

Sorry if I rubbed you the wrong way, but being selfish or egotistical isn't my bag... but surely you can see where I'm coming from.
